Musical Directors

Kim Hulbert
Master Director Sweet Adelines International

From its inception, Pacific Coast Harmony has been privileged to have the creative and talented Kim Hulbert as its Musical Director. Under her dynamic and knowledgeable leadership, PCH continues to sing and entertain audiences at the highest levels.

Kim has proven her directing abilities by leading San Diego Chorus of Sweet Adelines International to a gold medal in women's international barbershop competition, having previously won one as a singer. She is also a certified vocal coach and teaches voice to individuals and ensembles, including international-level quartets and choruses all over the world.

Kim's talents lie not only in her directing and teaching skills, but also in her performance accomplishments. She sang lead in the 2001 First Place International Champion Quartet, a cappella Gold. Kim has now won this title an unprecedented three times --- First, in 1976 with High Society, again in 1988 with Savvy, and most recently with a cappella Gold. Winning the title and wearing the "Queen of Harmony" crown are the highest honors given in the Sweet Adelines International organization. She now sings bass with her new quartet, Affinity, 2008 Sweet Adelines International Region 21 Champions and 9th place International competitors their first time out.

All this makes her a five-star asset for PCH.
